Professional Golfer Phil Mickelson Since 2004, Phil and his wife, Amy, have been generous partners in supporting the Warrior Foundation via their own foundation and the Birdies for the Brave program, which is a PGA Tour Charities, Inc., organization. Birdies for the Brave supports eight military nonprofits, including the SOWF. It was originally created by the Mickelsons to support troops injured during combat. Throughout the tour season, a contribution by Phil of $100 for a birdie or $500 for an eagle is made to Homes For Our Troops and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
