For our eligible SOWF families, the scholarship program
process starts in the 10th grade, when we send college planning materials to the student so he/she can get acquainted with our program.
Our guides describe how to apply for the SOWF and other available sources of grant money (not loans) available. During your senior year, you will receive your personal Student Handbook, which contains all application materials and instructions. It also explains the Warrior Foundation scholarship policy and rules.
The links below can be used to apply for Free Federal Financial Aid, VA benefits, and browse colleges. Additional financial aid resource sites are also provided.

SOWF requires all students to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a direct link to the on-line application for Pell Grants and other federally sponsored financial aid. The US Dept. of Education requires students use the online application. On their site are instructions for getting your PIN and filling out the application. Once completed, all results and activities MUST be done online. All renewal FAFSA's are also available in the same place.

Nearly all SOWF applicants are eligible for Chapter 35 (DEA) or Fry Scholarship through the VA. The application is included in the Student Scholarship Handbook and can also be downloaded or applied for on the VA web site.
