Naval Special Warfare Foundation Donates $50,000 to SOWF

(May 22, 2008) The Naval Special Warfare Foundation provided $50,000 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and its programs to provide college educations to the surviving children of fallen special operations personnel.
The Naval Special Warfare Foundation was established in 2000 to honor all who have served in the sea commando services, including Navy SEALs and Special Warfare Combatant Crewman. The NSW offers scholarships and tuition assistance to active duty Naval Special Warfare personnel and their families.
“Knowing that the children of our fallen SEALs and other NSW operators are guaranteed a college education is an unwritten goal of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation," said Bob Rieve, retired Navy Captain SEAL, Naval Special Warfare Foundation
"We are indebted to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation for ensuring this happens and the cooperation of your wonderful charity.”
The NSW has provided nearly $200,000 towards the college scholarship program for the SOWF.
"We are very appreciative of the great partnership we have with the Naval Special Warfare Foundation. Their support over the years has been wonderful," said John T. Carney, Jr. SOWF President.
