4th Annual MSG Chris Keith Memorial 5k Run and Triathlon

Lyman, South Carolina hosted the Master Sergeant Chris Keith Memorial 5k Run and American Warrior Triathlon on Saturday, September 20th. From its beginnings as a 5k run in 2005, the event has grown to include a triathlon, pre-race dinner and auction. This year's triathlon was kicked off by a parachute jump from the U.S. Army Black Daggers. Patriot Guard motorcycle riders led racers along their course. The American Legion offered a 12 gun salute to mark the end of the event.

Dennis Lindey spearheads the events with the help of Chris's parents, sister and brother. Master Sergeant Chris Keith died during physical training near Stuttgart in 2005 during a tour of duty with the 10th Special Forces Group.
