The Word is Getting Out About David Goggins
Members of the Special Operations and Special Operations Warrior Foundation communities are well aware of David Goggins. The Navy SEAL recruiter was named our 2007 Volunteer of the Year after raising more than $100,000 by taking donations for his hobby of running ultramarathons. David stunned the long distance running community in 2006 by coming out of nowhere to finish 5th in his first attempt at the Badwater Ultramarathon, a grueling 105 miles that includes a run through Death Valley in the summer heat.
Now, thanks to the Lexus motor car company and Runner's World Magazine, David's extraordinary accomplishments are about to become much more widely known. The lstudio website sponsored by Lexus that brings high quality entertainment to the Internet and celebrates extraordinary human achievements in the arts, sciences and athletics.
A 5 minute video portrait documentary built around David's first place finish is just one of thundreds of videos including portraits of Yes lead singer Jon Anderson, a documentary of NASA's exploration of Saturn by the Cassini interplanetary probe and a series of comedy skits starring “Sex and the City's” Lisa Kudrow who plays an online therapist who's own elevator may not go all the way to the top.
lstudio isn't the only place to learn more about David. Runner's World magazine is honoring him as one of a select group of runners who achieved extraordinary things over the last year. The special issue will hit newsstands in November. Look for David on the cover!
