Syracuse Enforcers Motorcycle Run
(Syracuse, N.Y.) Special to specialops.org —
August 1st the Syracuse Chapter of the Enforcers, Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, held their 4th annual “Warrior Run”. Over 75 motorcycles, and more than 200 people were signed up, including Enforcers from other Chapters in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Even with all the rain we've been having, summer showed up and put on a brilliant display of sun the entire day. The ride was just over 70 miles through the heart of Central New York, along the Erie Canal in places, with stops for refreshments every so often.
Everyone behaved admirably and when we got back to home base, we had a veritable feast. We had almost everything donated or prepared by ourselves, which meant we could maximize our contribution to the SOWF.
A regional biker charity, Bikers United also helped organize many details and then had extra food donated to a local youth charity.
Generous donations and contributions from a number of local businesses, together with prizes and raffles, and revenue from the ride were totaled, it came to just over $2000 raised for the families of fallen Warriors.
Special thanks go to Utica Harley Davidson, The Riverhawk Company, Price Chopper, Sysco, County Line Choppers, New York Rider Magazine, and the Limp Lizard Lounge. And yes, this is becoming a mainstay on the calendar of many area bikers, so we are already planning next year's run.
