Warrior Link Wins Award for SOWF P.R. Director

Tampa – (Dec.10, 2009) The Special Operations Warrior Foundation's Public Relations Director, Edie Rosenthal, received a Bronze Quill Award of Merit from the Tampa Bay chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in the Newsletter Design category for its printed newsletter,"Warrior Link.”
Presented at the Bronze Quill Awards Gala on December 9, 2009 at the Conch Republic in Redington Beach, Florida, Rosenthal is one of five award winners recognized for exceptional communication work.
"It is an incredible honor to be acknowledged among my peers, and especially rewarding to be recognized for creating a product that is tells about an organization that supports the amazing men and women of special operations and their families” said Rosenthal. "I am thankful that it is so well-received.”
For the past seven years, Rosenthal has served as the Public Relations Director for the top-rated nonprofit organization where she produces the foundation's "Warrior Link” as well as the electronic version, which is sent via email to 10,000 subscribers on a monthly basis.
"This award is very well-earned,” said SOWF President John T. Carney, Jr., retired Air Force Colonel. "Warrior Link is a vital part of our efforts to keep our supporters informed about the work the Warrior Foundation is doing for the families of our wounded and fallen special operators and on the efforts of our volunteers who play such an important part in our fund-raising.”
The Bronze Quill Award of Merit is an award of distinction for excellence among communication professionals and indicates the delivery of creative, value-driven communication.
