(Chicago, IL) Dec. 13—The Young President's Organization of Chicago held their annual charity fund raiser with SOWF President Colonel John Carney (USAF Ret) and SOWF board member and 35th Army Chief of Staff retired General Peter Schoomaker attending as honored guests.
Also representing SOWF at the YPO event was SOWF student Melinda Petrignani. Melinda's father Private First Class Michael Ruddess, was a U.S. Army Ranger who lost his life in a 1986 training accident. At the time, Melinda was only 9 months. In 2008, with the Warrior Foundation's help, she graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Business Administration.
The fund raising total so far is over $72,000 and counting!
