Kent Made It!

![]() Overcoming obstacles is nothing new for Major Kent Solheim. He remains on active duty despite losing a leg due to injuries suffered in Iraq. Two months after his leg was amputated he completed the Boston Marathon using a hand-cranked bicycle. Kent was entered to run in this year's Pisgah 36 hour mountain bike race, but record snowfall in North Carolina wiped out the race, so Kent and training partner Major Will Cotty found another race. What they thought would be a relatively tame 12 hour endurance race in Central Florida turned out to be more than they bargained for.
