Two News Articles About Eagle Claw's 30th Anniversary

(Tampa, FL) 30 years after Operation Eagle Claw, the ripple effect from the gallant attempt to rescue 53 hostages being held by Iranian militants in the American embassy in Tehran is still being felt.   Noted author Mark Bowden has written an opinion piece for the Philadelphia Inquirer about the fallout from Eagle Claw and the work of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. For Roland Guidry Eagle Claw is not just a historical event. He was there, commanding the Air Force pilots flying the would be rescue team into Iran.  Although the hostages were not rescued Guidry says a positive part of the outcome was the build up of Amercian Special Forces and the creation of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.  You can read his story by clicking here.
