Dick's Sporting Goods to Support Birdies for the Brave Through July 4

June 1, 2011 - The PGA Tour has announced that Dick's Sporting Goods is partnering with Birdies for the Brave, the tour's military outreach program, to raise funds for the eight Birdies for the Brave charities from Memorial Day through the Fourth of July.

During this time, customers at nearly 450 Dick's Sporting Goods retail stores across the nation will have the opportunity to make a donation of $1, $5 or $10 to Birdies for the Brave at the cash register.

At the end of the fundraising campaign, Dick’s will match donated funds up to $250,000.

The Warrior Foundation was selected in 2005 to be the first Birdies for the Brave recipient. Today, the SOWF is one of eight military charities supported by the program.
