To make it in a highly-competitive field like public relations, getting good grades in college is the first step.
Thanks in part to the support of the SOWF, Tori Lynn Johnson is studying hard and seizing opportunities to help her stand out from the pack of graduates with PR degrees.
The daughter of Tech Sgt. Robert Johnson, a flight engineer with the 15th Special Operations Squadron who died in August of 2002 when his aircraft crashed during a training mission in Puerto Rico, Tori is majoring in public relations at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.

"I feel once I am done with my degree, I’ll be able to enter the work force with a set of skills that will allow me to thrive,” Tori says.
Tori is not only on the dean’s list and the president’s list, she also has also secured internships that are providing her with experience and contacts some of her peers do not have, which will give her an advantage in the marketplace.
Though Tori has not yet graduated, she is ambitious, and her job hunt is already underway.
"I would like to be successful, but I also want to help others, since I am so blessed the SOWF allowed me to go to such a wonderful school,” she says.
"The SOWF truly cares about me, and wants to see me succeed.”
